White House Gingerbread


White House Gingerbread made by the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Chicago (Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago) for the Museum of Science and Industry. House was constructed in 10 days with all edible ingredients. House is gingerbread covered with fondant. Popcorn was used for trees and topiaries, rice krispy treats for hedges, lollipops for topiaries, tuile cookies for pine trees covered with royal icing, people are marzipan,glass windows are isomalt, wreaths are lifesavers with royal icing, dark trees are tempered chocolate, flags are rice paper painted with food color markers, grass is 2 kinds of coconut
